Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Casa Hogar is now a model children’s home. Thousands of compassionate individuals have contributed donations totaling over five-hundred thousand dollars specifically for Casa Hogar. Now every current and future child to call Casa Hogar their home will have all they need and deserve. The children are truly on the path toward “bright futures”. Here are just a few of the transformative success we’ve made at Casa Hogar Benito Juarez.

In 2003, at age twelve, Virginia plucked and prepared this turkey to be shared by over seventy children living at Casa Hogar. Providing proper and balanced meals was a first priority for Simply Smiles. Today, Mitzy and all of the children, receive three hearty meals a day, a snack, and even the occasional pizza party!

The Casa Hogar grounds have been totally transformed. As just one example, where there was once only mud now the children play on a paved soccer court surrounded by over 10,000 red outdoor tiles.

Every child that walks through the door of Casa Hogar has access to education at any level. From a pre-school childcare program through college scholarships every child attends school. This includes the nearly one dozen children with severe disabilities.

When Florencia arrived at Casa Hogar the doctors gave her no chance of survival. As a result of her infected hair lip and cleft palate little "Flor" weighed less than 10 pounds at 13 months. Thanks to the love and compassion present at Casa Hogar, Flor was nursed back to health. Today she is a healthy and happy little girl who dreams of studying in the United States on a Simply Smiles Scholarship. A true miracle...

In today's day and age children need very early exposure and access to computers in order to be successful. Recognizing this, in conjunction with a very generous donor, Simply Smiles built a modern computer lab for Casa Hogar. Complete with high-speed internet and the latest computers, the children now have a window to the world through the internet and the means to learn vital computer skills.Our first project ever! Simply Smiles replaced the bus seen at left with a new yellow school bus. We drove the bus from Connecticut to Oaxaca to deliver not just the vehicle, but thousands of pounds of supplies for the home. It was a long trip, but a huge success!
