You cannot imagine how your heart breaks when you see a mother instruct her child to go look for food in the bags of trash as they fall off a garbage truck. When they heard about our work in the dump, the children of Casa Hogar Oaxaca took it upon themselves to prepare and deliver meals to our friends living in Oaxaca's Garbage Dump once a week. Children who themselves have experienced hunger and malnutrition, now make sandwiches and take turns going to the dump to hand out bag lunches. It is simply amazing to see. We are so very proud of them. For just $50, we can deliver a clean and healthy meal to over 100 people working in Oaxaca's Garbage Dump. Lunches consist of a sandwich, an orange, and all the clean cold water and soda they can drink.
