Contribute to Casa Hogar Cuicatlan The Casa Hogar Cuicatlan Children's Home is located in a small Mexican town that is literally built into the side of a mountain. The children's home is at the highest point allowing a view past the town to a magnificent mountain vista.

For all of its beauty, this region of Oaxaca is incredibly poor. This is an area of true wilderness where there are few towns and fewer opportunities. Most of the region's citizens scrape together their livelihoods as subsistence level farmers or miners. The children here suffer greatly, often having to work from a very young age to help support their families. The northern region of Oaxaca has the lowest school enrollment percentage in the entire state. Casa Hogar Cuicatlan serves the neediest children of this most impoverished area.

The city of Oaxaca is the largest city in Oaxaca state, while Cuicatlan is the largest town in the northern region.

The driving distance between Oaxaca and Cuicatlan is approximately 2.5 hours
