Thanks to generous individuals like you, in just a few short years we have been able to help transform Casa Hogar into a model children's home. Here are some of our accomplishments to date. When Flor arrived at Casa Hogar the doctors gave her no chance of survival. Thanks to Casa Hogar, she is now a healthy and happy kindergartner! In 2003 Virginia plucked and prepared this chicken to be shared by every child at Casa Hogar. Here Victor enjoys an ice cream party this past Christmas! At left is Casa Hogar's old bus. After 2002's fateful bus trip from Connecticut to Oaxaca, the children now travel to and from school in a new yellow school bus! Read bus trip journal. Every child at Casa Hogar now attends school. A computer lab, constructed in 2006 and stocked with brand new computers, helps the children to develop the life skills they need. Casa Hogar's grounds have been totally transformed! Now the children can play all year round on their new soccer court. The children with special needs attend school on the other side of town. They used to travel to school in a 1988 Suburban. Now they have a brand new handicapped van.
